Chef Navjot's romance with Southeast Asian cuisine was rekindled on a recent trip to Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. Spending weeks immersed in authentic Asian gastronomy invigorated and excited his passion.
Having seen diners in Irvington enjoy a bold and vibrant Indian Cuisine for the past 11 years, he felt confident that they would be an eager participant in his dream to introduce the intricate flavors of South-East Asian cuisine in this dynamic Westchester community. Thus, Sambal was conceived.
This dream was realized with the help of Sushil Malhotra, Chef Arora's partner, mentor and guide. The feather in our cap is our collaboration with Chef Rikhi Pandeya. Their combined expertise will ensure that we stay true to our roots as an Asian dining experience while continuing to create and innovate.
For the past few years, Sambal Thai & Malaysian has been voted Best Thai in the county by the readers of Westchester Magazine.
We bring you the freshest organic ingredients, exotic herbs, and spices from Thailand and Malaysia. The cooking process combines the high heat of the wok with constant agitation to create flavors and textures that are crisp and sharp, yet complex. The fragrant and aromatic cuisine in a sophisticated, elegant ambience helps us assure that you have a memorable dining experience.
We invite you to enjoy the sweet, sour, salty, and (sometimes) spicy flavors of Thai & Malaysia. We look forward to serving you soon!
My friends and I ate family style,so we shared our plates. Absolutely everything we ate was delicious and I've never had that experience in any restaurant before. My favorite was the sticky rice which I had to get an order of to go. Indescribable flavor besides amazing.

We had a wonderful time last night dining at Sambal. From the exotic and stunning decor to the attentive service to the mouth-watering delectable dishes, this restaurant provides a great dining experience. This restaurant has scenic and gorgeous view from their deck over looking the Hudson River and Tappan Zee Bridge. Congratulations and best wishes to Chef Navjot Arora. You will be seeing us more!?

I had the opportunity to try out this beautiful new restaurant at an IntoxiKate event, and everything I tried was absolutely amazing. Not to mention the staff was attentive and very helpful. I can't wait to go back, especially for some more sticky rice!?
